NEON

Jill Sander SS11 Show

Wowzer, I am simply in love with this look.
Neon tones are going to be absolutely huge this season. I never used to be a massive fan of fluro, reminds me too much of a tacky rave with tackier plastic bead necklaces. However, I can stand to be corrected – teamed with crispy whites and muted tones this new neon, if you will, screams sophistication and is a great way of bringing summer into your wardrobe (even if it is a rainy catastrophe outside).
Here are my pick of some fabulous neon looks. Team with fierce heels and minimal accessories. Whites and blacks look fabulous with brights or go all out and colour block it up…my eye is on the ASOS boxy clutch, someone buy it me please?

Fashion goes TopGun

The Burberry A/W2010 catwalks were littered with the new ‘it’ jacket – The Aviator.

But no worries as you don’t need a designer income to achieve this flying fashion look.

This jacket should be your number one autumn investment and many high street retailers such as River Island and ASOS are already offering their take on the trend.

My favourite is this £59.99 jacket from River Island. It would look great with jeans and biker boots for a casual look or toughen up a floral dress by layering it over the top.

Camel Couture

Camel Coats autumn/winter 2010 trend

Autumn/ Winter 2010 is fast approaching and the fashion buzz word of the moment is Camel.

Camel coloured tones will be so popular that trendspotters predict there won’t be room to swing a cat on the high street due to the number of people strutting down it in camel cover-up coats.

But why the appeal of the Camel coat? Is it due to the versatility of it, how it can be worn with pretty much anything or is it the chic timelessness it seems to have. Personally, I think it is the way you can bring any outfit from drab to fab just by throwing the Camel coat on and cinching in the waist.

For the ultimate could-be-designer camel coat, go to Asos for this hooded camel cape for £80, worth every penny.

Mission DoubleDenim

As double denim has been on the style radar for a few months now I felt it was time I tried it out for myself.

Multiples of denim first hit the 2010 scene with Chloe’s Spring/ Summer 10 show.  Chloe’s take on the look by mixing dark and light shades of denim is really the correct way to go about this tricky trend- think laid back cowgirl not 80s throwback and you will perfect the look.

My style: To conquer the trend I teamed a dark denim teadress with a western-style light denim jacket.
My verdict: It was a fun, girly outfit although you do feel like you need to constantly reassure the observing public that you are aware that you are wearing DD rather than it being a faux pas
